10 Ways to Minimize Stress During the Holidays
Chris Young - Founder, The Rainmaker GroupChristmas is a joyous and festive time when families are reunited and warm and lasting memories are formed.

It can also be a time of great stress for many as the rush and commotion of the holiday season frequently culminates with a large family gathering.

These gatherings can be especially stressful due to the wide range of individual behavioral styles that are likely to be present.

Simply put - there is a good chance that your behavioral style is likely to clash with the behavioral style of a relative or in-law.  This  can lead to unwanted conflict, arguments, and a dampening of the holiday spirit.

To help make your holiday one to remember (for the right reasons!) and as stress free as possible I would like to offer 10 tips for reducing stress during the holidays...

Overcoming Your Self-Limiting Beliefs
ElephantWhen an elephant is young it can be easily restrained by a rope attached to a wooden stake driven into the ground.

Surprisingly, the same stake and rope is still an effective means of restraining the elephant when it is a fully grown and powerful four-ton animal.

How Can this be?

The answer is self-limiting beliefs.  The elephant believes the stake can hold it back because of its past experiences as a much smaller animal.  It does not believe it can free itself, so it does not try.

People act much the same as elephants do.  Often times we allow our own self-limiting beliefs to keep us from achieving the things we desire because we incorrectly think they are not possible.

Featured Guru - Tom Peters
