Bad bosses have been getting a lot of attention in the media lately. It seems that every month there is a new survey or study reporting how badly workers detest their bosses. With all the attention given to these difficult to work for managers and supervisors the question needs to be asked: Is having an "asshole" for a boss really such a bad thing?

Chances are that at some point in time you have worked for a manager or supervisor that you were less than crazy about.
Perhaps this individual was difficult to please, always asking you to accomplish more with fewer resources, and never failed to provide brutally honest feedback on your performance. Whatever the reason, you probably referred to your boss as a jerk or some other pejorative equivalent at some point in time.
